Farewell Party at work -April 25th, D-4

I am leaving OHIO in 4 days in but also my work place in 2 days. My colleagues today had the great idea to held a farewell party for me and I was pleased to discover they customized the cake!

I will definitely miss people in Ohio that are, well, so sweet!

Can you tell what are the edible symbolic objects on each country? Ok I will help you.

-USA: An hot dog, an American pie and a baseball ball
-Switzerland: the Alpes, chocolate, an (expensive) watch, wine (not really swiss) and cheese!

Farewell party at Emily's: April 20th, D-8

We will leave OHIO officially  on Sunday 28th, therefore Emily hosted at her house a farewell party for us.

He had such a great time. People, you made this party works! It was too cold to enjoy the awesome patio but we still enjoyed to be inside, drinking and sharing good appetizers ( Special thanks for Dave and his delicious empenadas) and dips, along with burgers and dogs perfectly grilled by Cole. The desserts were Excellent too! Cheesecake bars and cookie dough dips, plus my vanilla cupcakes for Nathan's birthday.

Just Prefect American fare!

Thanks everyone, for coming, for the nice gifts, for your laughs,  for your time and for your friendship! Thanks for welcoming us Emily and Cole!

We will miss you, but we will be in touch with this new blog I just create to share your new life in Switzerland.
